The chalet Nelly is a cottage of 6 (+1) beds, available for weekly rental through the whole year. It is located in Veysonnaz in Switzerland, a traditional village in the centre of Valais. This family owned chalet is belonging to the Muller family. Besides being a holiday accommodation, it is a place where you will enjoy the nature, tranquillity , all possible mountain sports and the famous Swiss cooking. The chalet is easily accessible through the whole year. The guests will enjoy the amazing ski slopes of the 4 Vallées resort in winter and the beautiful alpine nature from spring to autumn.

Situation

Veysonnaz is a village located at 1300m, overlooking the Rhône valley, at the heart of central Valais. This traditional village succeeded in developing lots of summer and winter activities for adults and for families. Besides touristic activities, traditional activities are still alive, like mountain agriculture.

Starting directly from the village, numerous hiking possibilities are available. Either rather flat walks along the historical irrigation channels or challenging climbs to reach the beautiful summits of the region.

The ski resort of Veysonnaz is part of the 4 Vallées area. This system – the biggest in Switzerland and the third of Europe – offers a total of 412 km of slopes. The 4 Vallées skilifts are also offering mountain bike tours during the summer.

The chalet is situated in a very calm area of Veysonnaz, surrounded by fields and gardens, but very close to the centre of the village. All facilities can be reached in 5 to 10 minutes on foot: grocery store, public transportation, restaurants, ski rental shop. In winter, a free shuttle bus will bring you to the gondola.

The Val d’Hérens can be reached in 15 minutes by car. Some of the most beautiful summits of Valais are located in this wild and beautiful valley. Sion, the main city of Valais, can also be reached in 15 minutes by car. This charming small city offers a big choice of good restaurants, historical centre, two famous castles and specialised vine and food shops.

Equipments

The chalet Nelly has all modern equipment to make you feel comfortable. It has been significantly refurbished to meet modern ecological standards. For instance, the chalet is heated with solar energy and wood.

A private parking slot for the guests is available a few meter away from the chalet.

In the kitchen you will find everything you need to prepare local specialties, like fondue or raclette.

The living space (~40 sqm) is located on the ground floor, where the salon is combined with an open kitchen. From there, you reach a wooden deck, South-West oriented, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful sunset. On the same floor a small WC is available.

On the first floor (~50 sqm), you will find three double bedrooms and a bathroom with bath, toilet and a sink.

During your stay, you can use the free wifi and the television with channels in many languages.

If you come during summer, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful garden with its fruit trees, berries and gorgeous flowers.

Environment

It is important to us to enjoy lovely holidays in our family chalet without harming the environment. This is the reasons why we are happy to put at your disposal a chalet that solely uses renewable energies. It is also very comfortable because we have refurbished it using natural materials.

Total electricity production of our photovoltaic panels since September 2017: 79307.392kWh.

The owners

The chalet belongs to the family Muller. The family is spread in Switzerland and uses the chalet for family meetings and holidays. Step by step, the chalet was renovated by the brothers Laurent and Marc, in order to increase its comfort and make it a truly environmental friendly house.

Renate, the Mum, likes to take care of the garden. The flowery terrace is the result of her talent for gardening. She also takes care of the booking process and will help you for any question you may have.

Thanks to the newest members of the family, the chalet is now equipped for small kids.

Finally, the Agency Summum, located in the village, will take care of the check-in and handover procedures and will be available for any issue you may have during your stay.

Wir verbrachten zwei herrliche Wochen im Chalet Nelly. Sehr gemütliches und gut eingerichtetes Chalet an fantanstischer Lage. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und sowohl Übergabe als auch Abgabe waren problemlos. Wir danken der Besitzerfamilie herzlich.

Magnifique chalet, très bien situé. Vue imprenable avec un panorama exceptionnel . L'intérieur est tout aussi joli et bien équipé.Nous sommes content d'avoir découvert cette région idyllique ,avec ses nombreuses possibilités de randonnées.Nous remercions les propriétaires pour leur amabilité , et leur disponibilité.

Nun waren wir zu dritt im September/Oktober schon zum vierten Mal im Chalet Nelly und haben uns in dem gemütlichen Haus wieder sehr wohl gefühlt. Bei jedem Besuch entdecken wir Neuerungen wie jetzt mit den hübschen neuen Fliesen und Kacheln in Bad und Treppenhaus. Die Kiefernholzwände und Böden in den Schlafzimmern verströmen behaglichen Berghüttencharakter. Und die Aussicht auf die hohen Berge gegenüber und hinunter ins Rhônetal sind einfach fantastisch, besonders von der Terrasse aus. Auf der angrenzenden Wiese am Hang grasten während unseres Aufenthaltes friedlich zwei Pferde, in der Ferne hört man leise Kuhglocken. Das ist sehr erholsam nach einer langen Wanderung, von denen wir mittlerweile sehr viele im gesamten Unterwallis unternommen haben. Wir freuen uns schon auf die nächsten Ferien im Chalet Nelly!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au chalet. Il est très bien entretenu et parfaitement équipé pour une famille. La vue est imprenable sur la vallée et nous avons profité de faire plein d'excursions: impossible de s'ennuyer en Valais. Les propriétaires sont particulièrement sympathiques et toujours là pour répondre à nos questions ou nous faire des suggestions touristiques! Nous garderons d'excellents souvenirs de nos vacances et reviendrons avec grand plaisir!

Im Juni ist die Blumenpracht in Veysonnaz grandios – diese konnten wir direkt von der tollen Veranda des Chalet Nelly und bei Wanderungen geniessen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!
